Plashet Hockey Club has taken strides
forward in hockey, and has always excelled in anything it has
invested its mind, body and soul to. And the social aspect was
not spared either. Plashet give a new meaning to 'team
bonding', with antics that can only be compared to a comedy
sketch off the television. The game is enjoyable, but hitting
the town is more enjoyable...
The word 'Gherhia' derives from a punjabi word 'Gherhi' -
meaning to 'do rounds'. The Plashet boys certainly do their
rounds... in every town they go to play their hockey. No town
is spared of the PHC gherhia! Whether this is a simple walk
through the town, a meal at a restaurant, or even causing a
bit of commotion with the locals... The boys know how to make
a 70min game, last the whole day (and night - in some
cases)... So who's up for gherhia after the next game?
More adventures coming very soon...
